We are proud to have played an important role in the revitalisation of the Seafarers Club this year. Designed by the award-winning architects at Fearon Hay and built by Alaska Interiors, Tauck Timber has coordinated the supply, staining and installation of the beautiful Oak to see this project to success. The flooring system is composed of American Oak using Osmo stain and Fiji Mahogany for decking and table tops.
American Oak is a type of hardwood that is imported from eastern USA and has light-coloured sapwood and dark brown heartwood. Fiji Mahogany, is beautiful timber that is easy to work with as it is versatile, resistant to wood rot and sustainable.
These timbers perfectly complemented the breathtaking views of the Auckland harbour. The Seafarers Club also features a stunning terrace - creating an indoor/outdoor flow that is going to be great for events over summer. It's the perfect place to have lunch, a casual dinner, late night drinks and social gatherings with family and friends.
With the help of Tauck Timber products, the old centre has transformed into a unique hospitality and entertainment venue where people can create lasting dining and event experiences.
